Application: Waykuri | Last updated: 7 July 2026
Waykuri Software Development Services ("we", "us", "the Company") operates the Waykuri workforce and payroll management application (the "App"). Waykuri is a business-to-business application provided to organizations ("Employers") to manage their workforce. This policy explains what personal data the App processes, why, and the rights available to users ("Employees" and Employer administrators).
For most data processed through the App, the Employer is the data controller and the Company acts as a data processor on the Employer's behalf. Employees should direct requests about their personal data to their Employer in the first instance. The Company is the controller only for account administration and service-operation data.
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Personal information | Name, email address, phone number, employee ID, job title, work address | Account creation, identification, workforce records |
| Financial / payroll information | Salary and wage data, payroll records, bank or payment details, tax identifiers | Calculating and processing payroll |
| Biometric data | Facial recognition templates (mathematical vectors) used for attendance verification | Identity verification and attendance capture |
| App activity & technical data | Log data, device identifiers, crash diagnostics | Security, troubleshooting, service reliability |
Data is used solely to provide the workforce-management and payroll functions the Employer has configured: managing employee records, tracking attendance at clock events, and processing payroll, and maintaining the security and reliability of the service. Attendance is verified using NFC tags and on-device facial recognition; the App does not collect your device's GPS or geographic location. We do not use personal data for advertising, and the App contains no third-party ads.
Where applicable law requires it (e.g. GDPR), processing is based on the Employer's legitimate interest in managing its workforce, performance of the employment relationship, compliance with legal obligations (such as payroll and tax law), and — for biometric data — the explicit consent obtained by the Employer where required.
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with: (a) the Employer and its authorized administrators; (b) sub-processors that host or support the service, bound by data-protection agreements; and (c) authorities where required by law. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. Biometric templates are additionally encrypted at the application layer and stored only as non-reversible mathematical vectors — no facial images are retained. Data at rest is further protected by our hosting provider's storage encryption. Access is restricted on a least-privilege basis, and access to biometric data is consent-gated and audit-logged.
Personal data is retained for as long as the Employer maintains an active account and as required by applicable payroll, tax, and employment record-keeping laws, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent for biometric processing. Employees should contact their Employer; the Company will assist the Employer in fulfilling such requests.
To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below or ask your Employer's administrator. Requests are actioned in line with the retention obligations in section 7.
The App is intended for use by employed individuals and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to Employers, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
